Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Project Officer
Zambia Red Cross Society a Humanitarian organization is inviting applications from  suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Project Officer.
Duties will include the following:
  • Manage and coordinate ZRCS’s WASH Project in Limulunga
  • Contribute to Plan of Action for 2015 and future activities
  • Develop/Implement the planning for the extension of ZRCS’s Wash activities
  • Quality control of all WASH activities
  • Prepare monthly reports of all ZRCS WASH activities, and as required by donors
  • Manage and monitor program activities and budgets
  • Develop, implement and manage community monitoring systems
  • Ensure constructive co-operation with other ZRCS programs, Government, international and local NGOs as well as the UN Agencie
Education/Experience Requirements
  • Diploma or First Degree in Public Health, Water Engineering, or similar relevant discipline
  • Works experience in the planning and execution of WASH or similar Projects of at least 3 years
  • Experience of coordination and advocacy works
  • Understanding of the implementation of Hygiene Promotion Programs
  • Ability to collect and analyse data to direct program implementation priorities
  • Experience in designing, implementing and maintenance of water supply system in emergence contexts
  • Proven skills in reportfproposal writing
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain and present technical information
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential, fluency in Lozi will be an added advantage
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
