Human Resource Manager job in Zambia

Pulse Financial Services Limited (PFSL) also trading as Entrepreneurs Financial Centre (EFC), is a deposit taking microfinance institution licensed by the Bank of Zambia. The institution offers specialized financial services to micro, small and medium enterprises including business women. The institution started as a CARE Zambia project in 1996. In 2009, the institution got a Deposit Taking License from Bank of Zambia. In 2011 PFSL joined the International Network of Entrepreneurs Financial Centre — EFC and is now trading under this name and is operating in Zambia, Tanzania, Uganda, and Panama.
EFC has grown from as few as 95 Employees in 2010 to over 270 Employees in 2014 and was awarded the ‘Best SME Organization for the Year 2013 and 2014 respectively”. Human Resource Manager
Responsibilities
• Carrying out strategic and tactical operational management of all EFC human resource and administration matters in alignment with the overall in business plans and strategic intent of the organization;
• Collaborating cross-functionally to define, develop, implement, and support cost effective and integrated HR solutions for all HR aspects of the organization;
• To be liaison person and clarify the directives and major institutional strategies for managing human resource;
• To play an advisory role to management in all matters related to human resources;
• Ensure compliance with Labour Laws and regulations applicable to EFC Zambia regarding human resources’ management and reporting requirements;
• To communicate all eventual HR issues such as pay, remuneration, promotion, or benefits;
• Formulating and ensuring successful implementation of an effective staff performance management system to ensure high work performance.
• Managing industrial relations and initiating effective communication systems to ensure industrial harmony.
• Managing disciplinary and grievance issues in EFC as well as offering guidance to the Disciplinary team.
• Carrying out skills audits arid training needs analyses to identify individual and departmental training needs, and facilitating appropriate programs to address those needs.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management Administration or related field;
• Three years relevant experience at Middle Management level;
• Member of ZIHRM;
• Good knowledge of applicable labour and compliance laws for a financial institution;
• Extremely strong leadership and management skills;
• Excellent interpersonal skills in a cross-culture environment;
• The ability to work in a multicultural environment;
• Excellent computer skills in a range of financial and non-financial ( systems)
