TB/HIV Project Officer
The Western Province Medical Officer (WPHO) in conjunction with U.S. Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is implementing progams to improve the management of TB, STIs and HIV Care, Support and Treatment services in the Province.
Western Province Medical Office is looking for suitably qualified individuals to take up the following position:
TB/HIV Program Coordinator
Location: Provide & Medical Office, Mongu
Reports to: Program Director and CDC Field Office Manager
Essential Duties and responsibilities
  • Provide leadership in timely submission of both programmatic and financial reports
  • Coordinate the delivery of services among different program activities to increase effectiveness and efficiency
  • Provide leadership in monitoring and evaluating progress towards achieving program targets
  • Develop a program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program and to identify areas for improvement
  • Ensure that program activities operate within the policies and procedures CDC/WMPO Cooperate Agreement
  • Supervise program staff by providing direction, input and feedback
Qualifications and experience
  • Degree in project management or related discipline. Medical background will be an added advantage
  • 3 years’ experience in management of HIV/AIDS related programs
Skills, abilities and competencies
Must have excellent written and verbal and communication skills.
i) Must have leadership, interpersonal and analytical skills
ii) Must have working knowledge of software application including Excel, Word aid Power Point
