Grants Compliance Officer

Concern Worldwide is a Non-Governmental International Humanitarian and Development Organisation working in 24 countries around the world. Concern Worldwide Zambia has been working in Zambia since 2002 with a focus on improving livelihoods, food security, health and nutrition as well as raising awareness of HIV and AIDS for rural households in the Central and Western provinces of Zambia. Activities to promote gender equality at all levels and empower women beneficiaries specifically are implemented throughout the programme areas.
We are currently recruiting for a Grants Compliance Officer who will be based in the Lusaka Office.
The post holder will ensure adherence by Concern staff and its partner organisations to best financial practices through review of all financial transactions, proposal budgets and reports in reference to the organisation’s and donor financial rules and regulations and provide advice and training to staff and partners regarding compliance requirements.
Requirements:
Essential
  • Part Qualified ACCA Professional or CIMA or Fully Qualified Accounting Technician Level
  • A member of ZICA
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position, preferably with International NGOs will be an added advantage.
Desirable
  • Good understanding of financial systems and internal controls
  • Good analytical ability
  • Pays attention to detail
  • Good budgeting / accounting skills
  • High degree of personal independence, integrity and honesty
