Lake Road PTA School is run by parents on behalf of the Ministry of Education. The School offers both primary and secondary school education.  A Board of Governors is in place to ensure that the school pursues her vision, mission and realises her shared values.
The Vision of the School is to be “A Leading Provider of World-Class Holistic Education.” and the Mission Is “To Provide Education Which Develops Innovative, Creative and Integrated Learners Equipped with Skills to Enable Them Contribute Positively to Society through Effective Service Delivery”.

The Board of Governors is therefore pleased to invite applications for the position of Teacher of Local Languages – Primary School who will be capable to pursue the vision, drive the mission of the school and inculcate the set values in the school community. To be considered for shortlisting, applicants must meet the following criteria:
TEACHER OF LOCAL LANGUAGES – PRIMARY SCHOOL
INTRODUCTION
  • The position will report to the Head of Section
  • The job holder will teach learners Zambian Languages (Chiyanja in particular)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Full Grade 12 Certificate
  • Minimum of Diploma in Education
  • Fluency in Nyanja/Bemba – written and spoken
  • Experience of at least two years in a reputable institution
  • At least three Traceable referees
Skills and knowledge required 
  • Good communication skills
  • Innovative
  • Ability to come up with good schemes of work
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with staff at all levels.
  • Conversant with the New Curriculum
JOB SPECIFICATION
Duties will include, among others:
  •  Adequate interpretation of the current Syllabus.
  • Drawing up the schemes of work for the year.
  • Preparing forecasts and lesson plans.
  • Preparing comprehensive records of work for all lessons
Candidates called for interviews will be asked to present a demonstration lesson.
