Position Overview:
To be responsible for Gin Machine operation and servicing to ensure machine optimisation during Production
Job specification & duties include:
- Inspection of gin machine for potential failures to running the plant
- Conducting basic maintenance/servicing on the machine to ensure effective ginning
- Recording and reporting machine faults to the shift supervisor promptly
- Acting as a link between the feeding floor and the gin room so as to ensure optimal machine feeding
- Liaise with quality control department on all quality matters
- Monitor lint and seed quality arid moisture control during production
- Responsible for housekeeping activities
- Any other business as assigned
Minimum requirements
- Advanced Certificate /Diploma in Mechanical technical field
- Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia
- Fitting of mechanical machines experience
- Cotton Ginning experience
- Process plant maintenance experience
- Good people management knowledge and skills
- Good knowledge and skills of Plant Safety
- Ability to deal with paper work and record keeping
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
